Melinda has held various positions since the early '80's in the petroleum industry -- primarily in Operations Accounting, Financial Accounting, Human Resources, and Land. She now manages the Joint Venture Accounting Department at Devon Canada with responsibilities encompassing non-operated property accounting, cost centre and AFE administration, and accounting, payouts, accruals, royalty administration, month-end operations accounting reporting, etc.
Melinda has a Bachelor of Administration Degree (with Distinction) and was honoured with the President's Award and Certificate of Excellence from the Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta for having the highest grades in her graduating class.
Melinda is active in many Industry initiatives and is a member of CGA, CAPPA, and PASC. She also taught CGA classes at SAIT for many years. Melinda enjoys a variety of recreational activities and is married with 2 teen-aged children.
